Last year, we decided to shake thing up… and due to the roaring success, we have once again decided to have a panel of experts discussing and debating changes to the loyalty eco-system over the last year and how partnerships will be handled in the future.

Corporate Partnerships Manager
at David Jones
A loyalty veteran of almost 20 years, Michael started his career working on the launch of the Nectar coalition loyalty program in the UK.
Since then he has worked with numerous brands on their programs including Commonwealth Bank, Virgin Australia, and Citi. Now based in Melbourne, he leads the commercial partnerships for department store David Jones.
Head of Marketing
at Velocity Frequent Flyer
Steve has over 15 years of experience leading loyalty programs and data driven marketing to drive member engagement. He joined Velocity Frequent Flyer in 2013 as Head of Customer Loyalty Marketing, and during this time has transformed organisational design, brand positioning, core systems and technology; all of which have contributed to growing the membership base from 3.5 to 8.5 million members.
Steve spearheaded Velocity’s ‘Billion Point’ promotion in 2017 which has received multiple global awards including best marketing campaign at the 2018 Loyalty Awards in Bangkok. Prior to Velocity, Steve was a former Senior Marketing Manager at Qantas Loyalty.
Senior Partnerships and Rewards Manager
Aussie is a colorful subject matter expert on Customer Marketing specialising in Loyalty Programs.
Currently at Optus as the Senior Partnerships Manager in the Loyalty Customer Value Management Team, Aussie has reshaped Rewards and Loyalty at Optus over the past 6 years through challenging the norm and driving innovation whilst consistently over achieving business targets. Aussie has successfully worked across a number of business sectors to bring a fresh approach towards Loyalty.
Senior Product Manager, Partnerships
Tim manages partnerships for Westpac, St. George, Bank of Melbourne, and Bank of South Australia's Consumer Bank. Building competitive advantage from new and existing partnerships that drive loyalty, engagement, and digital integration for the Westpac Group.
Tim has also held Personal Loan and Overdraft product management roles at Westpac. And spent 6 years at Caltex Australia managing market research, sales, and the fuel card portfolio.
